This bat comes in three blade lengths - 34", 35" and 36" - and you go by height, not age. Up to 5'6" take 34", between 5'6" and 5'10" take 35", and 5'10" and above take 36". If you're between two sizes, take the shorter one: control matters more than reach in tennis-ball cricket.
No. This bat is knocked in at the workshop and ships ready to play - grip fitted, scuff sheet on, toe guarded. Take it straight to the nets. A light re-knock on the edges after a season keeps it in shape, but nothing is needed before your first innings.
No. This is a Kashmir willow tennis-ball bat with a scooped back - the profile is tuned for soft and hard tennis balls only. Leather-ball use will damage the blade. For leather cricket, look at our English willow range.
Kashmir willow, hand-selected and pressed in our own workshop in Kashmir. It's denser and more forgiving than English willow for tennis-ball play, which is why it holds up to concrete and matting surfaces better.
